Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WillWriter (the "Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

2. Licence

Retailer Robotics Ltd grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use WillWriter for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not redistribute, sell, or modify the Software without written permission.

3. No Legal Advice

WillWriter is not a legal service and does not provide legal advice. The Software assists you in creating a structured Will document, but it does not replace the services of a qualified solicitor. The validation rules, AI guidance, and clause generation are informational tools, not legal opinions.

Users with complex estates, business interests, overseas assets, or unusual family circumstances should consult a qualified solicitor before relying on any document produced by WillWriter.

4. Jurisdictions

WillWriter is designed for use in England, Wales, and Scotland. The Software is not suitable for use in other jurisdictions. If you reside outside the United Kingdom, do not use WillWriter to create your Will.

5. Accuracy and Validity

While WillWriter implements 12 validation rules and 14 conditional clauses to help ensure legal compliance, we do not guarantee that the resulting document will be legally valid in all circumstances. The legal validity of your Will depends on correct signing and witnessing procedures, which are your responsibility.

6. Inheritance Tax Information

Inheritance tax thresholds and rates displayed in WillWriter are based on publicly available information at the time of development. Tax laws change frequently. WillWriter does not provide tax advice. Always consult a qualified tax adviser for tax planning.

7. Data and Privacy

WillWriter stores all data locally on your computer. Retailer Robotics Ltd is not responsible for any loss of data due to hardware failure, accidental deletion, or other causes. We recommend keeping backup copies of your Will file in a secure location.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free or that the documents it produces will be legally valid.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Retailer Robotics Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Software, including but not limited to any legal consequences resulting from a Will produced by the Software.

10. Updates

We may release updates to WillWriter from time to time. You are not required to install updates, but we recommend doing so to benefit from improvements and corrections.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms of Use, please contact us at support@will.godsownapp.com or via WhatsApp at +44 7746 339663.
